Different metrics are used to measure the performance of a business. This course places focus on understanding measuring and metrics used from the manufacturing prospective. This is a more in – depth review of the systems, charts, graphs and other methods that will affect the product produced as well as the method in which it’s produced. This is one of the more challenging courses with many different quizzes and exams to challenge the student and reinforce the material presented.
Master Manufacturing Operator
This course looks at the various types of manufacturing and the processes used. Throughout this course, different types of graphs and charts are illustrated and discussed in greater detail. Schedules and the importance of master planning are discussed for the purpose of production leveling. This is a more challenging course with many different quizzes and exams to challenge the student and reinforce the material presented.
Principles of 5S
Organization is the key to productivity. This course teaches the basics of workplace organization. Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain. After completion of this course, the operator will be able to lay out his/her work area in the most productive and organized fashion. Kaizen focuses on improving the process and making it even better. This course focuses of the different tools utilized during a Kaizen Event. Building the right products, in the right quantities at the right time is how companies become, and stay profitable. Takt time is discussed as it’s important for the purposes of capacity calculating. Understanding the different wastes are discussed in the course and how the different wastes can disrupt the entire process.
